Location: Whetsted Farm, Tonbridge Kent // Cakes: With love from family and friends
Caroline’s one request was a dessert table.
Carl's was a proper band.
Whetsted Farm in Tonbridge Kent was the choice venue. The farm and surrounding woodlands provided the perfect campsite for the guests of this beautiful humanist service.
Here the aisle was a country path, the forest canopy sheltering the gathering of friends and families when the weather gods & goddesses joined gently in the blessing of these three’s love and commitment to one another. Post nuptials, the wedding procession (each carrying a chair) headed back to camp for drinks and sunshine served on the lawns. A kiss was planted up high in a tree house, and the children ran wild down below.
For dinner friends sat at long benches, feasting on lush salads and BBQ’d delights. And as requested, each brought along something sweet to share at the table. Naturally bride & groom were the judges of this fabulous desert contest, getting to sample all the lovely puds before finally cutting their prize winning cake.
As soon as the music got swinging the dance floor was jumping. Sometime in the small hours the newlyweds escaped to their luxury tree top retreat - and we heard that everyone else was still having so much fun that several non-campers decided to stay overnight in the tepee.
All round, the perfect woodland festival wedding!
