A complete DIY affair, Emma & Ol took on the exciting task of curating their own wedding. Ambience and culinary delight were key factors in the planning of the day as was the location; the West Sussex countryside close to Californian born Emma's English family roots. Dressing at her aunt & uncle's nearby home, Emma was driven to St Mary's Church in Stoughton in a vintage Jaguar. It was a beautiful autumnal day, and the church had been decorated with seasonally picked fruit and vegetables as well as stunning floral displays. Emma's bouquet was one to keep, as woven into the centre was the original engagement ring Ol had made for her out of a conker and red twine. After the ceremony guests were driven to Lordington House in a vintage bus, where drinks and canape's were served as the sun went down. The marque was decorated in hopvines, and table decorations of edible vegetables doubled up as part of the starters. Guests were seated at long tables and the 3 course meal was served via large sharing platters, the atmosphere was very jovial and relaxed and the food, while continuing to be part of the Autumnal theme, was exquisite.
