Imogen & Martin initially met working for a large fashion house and though both have moved out of this world professionally speaking, they still ooze style. Having lived together in the East End for several years, they decided upon the stunning Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green as the venue for their ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception. Imo & Martin are true foodies, not just into eating out but hosting regular gourmet dinners for their friends and family, so the incredible kitchen, service, and understated glamour of this local venue sealed the deal for their big day. Choosing their favourite restaurants as inspiration for the three course wedding feast, tables were set with savoury favours for guests, each with a handwritten note of thanks from the couple. The savoury theme continued into dessert with a delicious Cheese-cake constructed by the Lincolnshire Poacher.
Handmade, ethical wedding rings from Polly Wales were designed to compliment Imogen's bespoke "Atrium" engagement ring and the Bride wore an exquisite vintage-inspired dress by Jenny Packham, who rightly made her their 'Bride of The Week'. Martin's suit was made for him by October House, and his low key groomsmen wore a combo of Fred Perry, with trousers from Jump The Gun in Brighton, and sports jackets from Debenhams. Having all recently married themselves, the boys did an excellent job of calming Martin's pre-ceremony nerves. Being the centre of attention in these grand council chambers was a source of mild anxiety for this often shy artist but was ultimately overcome by pride, excitement and of course love as close friend Gavin sung Imogen down the aisle and the newlyweds into their champagne reception.
