Mark likes to tell everyone that he got third time lucky with Ellie's big sister Rachel and it seems, as usual, that he's very right. Because on Marks 50th birthday last year (shortly before Valentines day on a leap year) Rachel presented him with a box containing two handmade celtic wedding bands. "What do you think?" she said, and the rest is history...
The emphasis for this celebration was on fun, informality, and family, who had travelled from all over the world to join these two at the Shenley Cricket Pavilion on a spectacularly sunny Saturday in late September.
The couple both have children from previous relationships, Andrew walked his mum down the aisle whilst Marks son Christopher sang a beautiful rendition of "To Make you Feel my Love" and it is pretty safe to say there was not a dry eye on the pavilion.
Now their two girls are also almost all grown up too, Mark & Rachel's babies are their animals. They have two Jack Russells Billy & Lottie, and it seemed only fair to include them somehow as well in the ceremony - so little Billy looked after the all important golden rings while Lottie looked on proudly.
Harvey the pony, stayed at home in his stable.
